Black History Month is celebrated annually in the month of February across the United States of America. This month is used to highlight the successes and accomplishments of African-Americans, but also the harsh and real history of African-Americans in the United States. Thus, the Multicultural Health Institute believes that Black History should be recognized, acknowledged, and celebrated daily right here in our own community. For more information on the importance of celebrating Black History in Sarasota, please view this article written by a member of our very own Board of Directors, Dr. Washington Hill for the Sarasota Herald Tribune: https://sarasotaheraldtribune-fl.newsmemory.com/?publink=12b0808ab_134d182
